Rela Gleason is a nationally recognized furniture, fabric, and interior designer whose work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Veranda, House Beautiful, and The Wall Street Journal among others. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, and home cook who believes strongly in creating a home as sanctuary.

She has lived in Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East. She likes to call this first book her “…memoir told through food, flea markets, friends, and family.”

Recipes are sprinkled throughout and fashioned so they can be successfully prepared by the casual non-chef.

Delicious meals, beautifully served in inviting homes are her recipe for Living Well. She tells her story through design RELA-vations and recipes woven into the fibers of her life. Rela and her husband Don split their time between Casa Kulanu in The Napa Valley, and Casa Lala in San Miguel, Mexico. At Gleason & Gleason Design Partners they continue to design and build homes for their clients with their daughter, Kerin Gleason Elmquist.
